My personal Experiences of Microsoft Applications

Microsoft Applications helps us in many ways.

Microsoft Word

Microsoft word helps a lot in my study career here in Visayas State University. Every time there are research works assigned by our teachers that needs to be print out Microsoft word comes to a great help. When I was in first year college, I am not fully equipped with the MS word basic skills. As i enrolled CS21, introduction to computer, it was developed. As time goes by due to some research works i am oriented with these basic skills. Thus MS word helps my work easier, saves time, money, and effort. Sometimes I encountered problems using this application. I am not really familiar with the toolbar of the MS word. If I don't know the command to be used there is a possibility that my files in this application will vanished. I have experienced using windows vista not knowing that this operating system is not compatible with other operating system, it was very embarrassing experience. Over all MS word was beneficial application.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft power point is an application in which it enables us to present our report using slide presentation.It enables me to show my point in a manner people can see visually. It also makes me less nervous since they will be looking at the power point presentation not in myself during reporting.It is more exciting than a simple word document or hand written presentation.In power point presentation, I can easily insert images to support my report.It is easy to find templates because it has built in templates with different appearances. Same with the Microsoft word application, I also encountered some difficulties and problems using MS power point. Just for instance lack of knowledge of the basic skills in MS power point. The proper size of the font and its animation should be properly applied. I learned power point presentation through self discovery. Although it was thought in CS21 but still it doesn't supply full learning. I spent time in exploring this application if I conduct research. Sometimes in making power point presentation consume much time and effort. In general this application contributes a great help during our Educational Technology class.

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft excel is an application that has the basic features of all spreadsheets. It has a grid of cells arranged in numbered rows columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations and letter-named columns to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations. It was very useful to me since I was elected as a treasurer of Mentors' Guild Organization. I used this application in making my financial report. It makes my work easy and fast especially computing the amount of our income and expenses of the organization. In arranging the names of every members in my report makes me easy performing it. I am not really familiar with all the features of this application. I am oriented only with the basic skills. This application enables me to make my job accurate. Just for instance, the expenses and the income that should be properly computed. It helps me to perform my duties and obligations accurately. I also encountered problems of using such application; wrong formula that will yield wrong answers, with that I will review again my data. Another also was formatting Microsoft Excel, I am not fully aware of its features and toolbars and its functions. As a whole MS excel is a very useful application that are related to computations.

Being a teacher...

 

Teacher is the one who facilitates in education for an individual student or pupils and with that we accompany some hindrances and experiences that may guide us in leading our way. Being a teacher is not an easy task. We need to have patience, love, and care to every learner. Other says, it’s a profession to be taken but for me it’s a vocation to be fulfilled. For elementary setting all teachers are dealing with children although there are some pupils who are entering in adolescence stage. For almost the entire life of a teacher, they are mainly focused of molding a learner to better one. We can't blame the teacher if sometimes they hurt some feelings of individuals for they are just human that patience will be vanished. A teacher's duty doesn’t end at the four corners of a classroom. If ever there are outside activities, the teacher is the one responsible for the security of every individual. In the Philippines, professional teachers need to take and pass a licensure examination in order to be hired and be a permanent employer. It’s another burden for some who are aiming to be a teacher because for four years of struggling in college with the course they took up another stage to be passed in order to have a job. Unlike some courses they need not to take the examination to get a job the only requirement is there determination. It does not mean that if we can’t pass a licensure examination we can’t be a teacher. Still we can be a teacher but only that we are not professionals.

Being a teacher was a quite a critical job, the quality of the learning acquired by the individual may vary on how the teacher taught. It’s not an easy task o be fulfilled, the failures of ones learning may blame to one teacher. I fact, we can’t control the learner’s ability to learn, they have their limitations for the learning acquisition. There are some parents who really demand their children to be more knowledgeable. They even blame some teachers because their child or children does not learn what they want. They don’t even mind their children’s ability, everything on earth has its own limitations. That’s why teacher is not just a profession it is also a duty to be performed. When we become teacher we accompanied by many obligations with the learners; obligation for their safety, give quality knowledge, and many more.

Finally, it is the teacher’s obligation to nurture a child. The fresh mind of an individual may be in our control. It’s our option to take that responsibility for we are the great influencers for every learner.

My experiences In Visayas State University

     As a student in VSU, I have more experiences encountered in my day to day life. When I was in first year i cant forget those moments we have shared with my co-occupants in our dormitory, Mahogany Men's hall. The dorm play a vital role in nurturing my attitudes. I learned how to mingle with others. One time we went to hydro to take a bath. We tour around the upper campus and stop at the pomology taking fruits which is prohibited in the university. I thought VSU area is only up to the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. Knowing that I was amazed when i discovered how big is the Visayas State University?  I remembered also during our field trip in Pomponan anchored with our subject in ecology 21, it was one of my unforgettable experiences as a student.

    In my study we meet different people with different attitudes and culture. Teachers with different strategies in teaching. I can't forget the things that was happened during our studying here. The pressured time of passing projects, consecutive examinations and others.

   With my friends and classmates who make me feel to enjoy life, I learned them how to adapt an environment with different people. I encountered different problems but mostly its all about financial aspect. I take this as a challenge for I know life will be successful if we do our best and most especially trust the Almighty Father. Learn to accept failure. In failure there are lessons behind.

All about me

           I am Reymund Ceno, twenty years old. I was born on January 21, 1991. I am the 8th in our family. I live in Brgy. Picas Sur Abuyog, Leyte Philippines. I now studying at Visayas State University taking the course of Bachelor of Elementary Education. I am now in third year level and hopefully be graduated next year. I like to mind games just for instance word factory and scrabble. I like to read real life stories especially if i can relate with it.I like to write funny stories. I like also to have jokes with  my friends when we are feeling bored. I believe that laughter is the best medicine but too much laughter needs medicine. My favorite subject is Math but sad to say all of my grades related to math was so low. Well that's part of our life, what you want you don't get. My favorite sports is volleyball.  I hate those people who are great pretender they keep on hiding themselves. I am truly a frank and vulgar person. I don't hide my identity, what is being in me and who is really me i am proud to show it because it's god given. My great outlook in life is to finished my degree and land a stable job to help my parents and to return their support in all aspects either moral, spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial. Although they are not expecting that from me, as a son and if ever have a stable job it's my obligation and duty yo help them and remove to the line of poverty.
